Paradis Fly-In

Well, the first Fly-In for 2009 certainly separated the weenies from the non-weenies... Rob & John were the only ones who were brave enough to test the air in Winterville, ME - AKA "The End of the Earth". There was a gorgeous break in the cold spell (an earth shattering 10 degrees above zero) so the guys bundled up and went for a scenic flight around the lake. Many thanks to the wonderful hosts, Rob, Darlene and Mack for opening up their beautiful cabin to us for the weekend.
Unfortunately, Rob's trusty Ranger decided to throw a belt just as we started the trek to the planes across the lake from camp. Only a minor glitch though, as a neighbor helped out with transportation and soon the guys were back in business.
Getting the skis on for a winter flight.

Everyone on the ice enjoyed the show!

Whoever came up with the saying "Work like a dog" obviously didn't know Mack... (notice he is getting a ride on the sled)

More Fun at Camp Paradis

Darlene decided to try out the dog sled on the trek across the ice for breakfast. Besides the fumes, she seemed to enjoy the ride!It looked as though we brought enough stuff to stay for at least a year...
When you're too little to fly, you can always have fun in the snow...

or stay inside where it's warm...

Could they really have gotten the snowmobile stuck???
