The highly sought after, world renowned, award winning 2009 MPA Highlight Video is here! Those who attended the MPA party were the first to see the dazzling production. Since none of them seemed to go blind or crazy, we're now ready to make it available to the rest of the world!

If you are interested in receiving a copy by mail and did not already reserve a copy at the Christmas party, please send us an email at mpanews@gmail.com. We would be happy to send one out to all those who feel life just wouldn't be complete without one of these remarkable DVDs.

Happy Holidays!

Time for Christmas!?!?

Yes, it is a bit early to be thinking of Christmas, but we wanted to let everyone know that the Annual MPA Christmas Party will be held on December 12th at the Oriental Jade restaurant at the Bangor Mall, next to the Bangor Cinema - address is 555 Stillwater Ave.

We will have the annual video highlights, a buffet dinner, our annual meeting, and a chance to see old friends again. The MPA will subsidize part of the event, so just bring a few bucks and your holiday smile!

So mark your calendars as we hope to see you there on Saturday, December 12th, from 3:30 PM to about 5:30PM.

What to do with your PPC in the fall

While most owners prefer to start up the engine just to go flying, Robin decided to try multi-tasking… and it worked! Introducing the new way to clean up those autumn leaves!

Presque Isle Fly-In Snowed Out!

Unfortunately the weather never cooperated for the Presque Isle fly-in - somehow a combination of wind, rain and snow never offered the right conditions for this sport. Next year we'll hope for calm skies!

We hope to see you all at the MPA Christmas party on December 12th. Like last year, we are aiming to have it at the Oriental Jade in Bangor. Stay tuned for further details as we get closer to the date.

Local conditions at Presque Isle... isn't it a little too early for snow??

Bethel Fly-In

A quick look at Bethel a couple days before the fly-in...

Boy was it cold at the last MPA fly-in for 2009! That didn't stop the guys from taking to the sky for several scenic flights. While they were virtually unrecognizable under so many layers of winter clothing, they managed to stay nice and warm.

Thankfully Kevin took his hat off for the photo - otherwise we wouldn't be able to see him in the camouflage suit!

As always, the beautiful scenery at Bethel Airport provided breathtaking sunsets.

Great Weekend in Bingham

One of the most well attended fly-ins of the season was held at Doug's lodge in Bingham this past weekend. He & his wife Rita opened their property to us and everyone had a great time. Herb & Bonnie Micue were there to greet the Saturday arrivals and it was great to see them.
Sunday morning & evening as well as Monday morning made for great flying.
A breakfast at the Gadabout Gaddis airfield completed the successful fly-in checklist.
